M16 turbo kit
| A mast-head, star/radial cut asymmetrical spinnaker that more than doubles sail area. The M16 turbo kit adds dramatic power to your Martin 16 sailing off the wind, especially in light to medium winds. The spinnaker pushes the boat to hull speed in as little as an 8-knot breeze, and introduces the excitement and tactical trade-offs of tacking downwind. More information | ![]() |
Power-Assist System
Any level of power-assisted steering, sheeting and auxilliary controls may be added to your Martin 16 with the portable, self-contained components of the Martin 16 Power-Assist System. Trailers
There are three custom trailer options for your Martin 16. All of our trailers are manufactured by EZ Loaderone of the largest trailer suppliers in North America. They are galvanized steel and have custom bunk systems that precisely support the boat during transport. All Martin 16 trailers allow ramp launching with ease.
- Single trailer: 1250 lb capacity
- Tandem trailer: 1800 lb capacity; two Martin 16s abreast
- Quad trailer: 3100 lb capacity; two abreast, two stacked on top with keels removed. Suitable for programs that travel long distances.
Martin 16 Cover
The Martin 16 cover fits like a glove, fabricated from attractive and durable Top Gun polyester fabric. The Martin 16 cover can be used in the water or on the trailer, mast up or mast down, even when youre trailing the boat, keeping your Martin 16 and equipment clean, dry, protected from U.V. degradation and safe from vandalism.

Cruising Sails System
If you keep your Martin 16 on a trailer or in a slip on the water, it'll be ready to sail in minutes with the Cruising Sail System. A Harken roller-furled jibsail and lazy jacks for the mainsail allow you to reduce the sailplan quickly in inclement weather, and put your boat away in minutes. UV covers help protect your Dacron sails from the sun. When you need to, you can change to Racing Mylar Sails in minutes.

Auxiliary Power Outboard Motor Bracket
On those windless days, or in the harbour, you can propel your Martin 16 with a compact and silent Minn Kota electric trolling motor. Forward and reverse control is at the helmspersons fingertips. When under sail, the motor mount pivots to store the motor on the aft deck. A solar panel charging system (optional) completes the package, assuring a fully charged battery every time you leave the dock!

Auxiliary Power Inboard Motor
The Cadillac auxiliary power package is the "hidden" inboard MinnKota electric motor installation in a hidden well on the aft deck.
Heavy duty 12V Dry Cell battery and on-board charger will power all Martin 16 - 12V accessories.
The motor is deployed and retracted from the helm seat. Forward and reverse control is at the helmspersons fingertips. Operation is silent — no one will ever know you’re under power!

And when the motor is retracted, it’s completely flush with hull!
